It is obvious but still quite shocking if you put it in numbers. It is estimated that about 97% of post-consumer textile waste is recyclable. That's crazy when you think of what a large part of consumer waste are clothes and textiles. Especially if textile recycling requires less energy than any other type of recycling! Neither plastic nor metal, no other kind of recycling is more energy efficient than textile recycling.
